For refurbishers to sell on Amazon Renewed, they must meet strict criteria :

• Complete a diagnostic test on every device

• Replace any defective parts — marketplace rules explicitly require OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) components 

• Perform thorough cleaning and inspection

• Provide a minimum 90-day warranty

Amazon made it clear: starting January 16, 2019, only approved sellers can list refurbished products . Non-compliant listings would be removed.
